Housemade Sausages

Oven Method

  1. Heat oven to 250F. Remove sausages from vacuum bag and place on a sheet tray.

  2. Place on middle rack and heat for 25 minutes, or until desired internal temperature is reached. Rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

 

Stovetop Method

  1. Do not remove sausages from bag.

  2. Add the bagged sausages to a large stock pot and cover with warm water. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium-low heat. Heat for 25 minutes, or until desired internal temperature is reached.

  3. Carefully remove bagged sausages from water and rest for 5 minutes before opening bag and slicing. 

 

Sous Vide Method

  1. Set immersion circulator to 150F. Do not remove sausages from bag. 

  2. Add bagged sausages to cooking container, and heat for 45 minutes, or until desired internal temperature is reached. 

  3. Carefully remove bagged sausages from water and rest for 5 minutes before opening bag and slicing.
